Modern furniture handles are the perfect way to add a touch of style and sophistication to any room. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes, so you can find the perfect ones to complement your decor. And best of all, they’re easy to install yourself.
Gather Your Materials
Before you begin, you’ll need to gather a few materials:
– New furniture handles
– Screwdriver
– Drill (optional)
– Measuring tape
– Pencil
Determine the Placement of the Handles
Once you have your materials, you need to determine where you want to place the handles. The most common placement is on the center of the drawer or door, but you can also place them off-center or even on the top or bottom.
To determine the placement, measure the width of the drawer or door and divide it in half. This will give you the center point. Mark the center point with a pencil.
Drill Pilot Holes (Optional)
If you’re installing the handles on a thick piece of wood, you may want to drill pilot holes before you insert the screws. This will help to prevent the wood from splitting.
To drill pilot holes, use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the screws. Drill a hole at each of the pencil marks.
Insert the Screws
Once you have your pilot holes (or if you’re not drilling pilot holes), you can insert the screws. Start by inserting the screw into the pilot hole or into the wood. Then, use a screwdriver to tighten the screw.
Be careful not to overtighten the screws, as this could damage the wood.
Finishing Touches
Once the handles are installed, you can add the finishing touches. If the handles have a backplate, you can attach the backplate to the drawer or door. You can also add decorative touches, such as knobs or pulls.
And that’s it! You’ve now successfully installed modern furniture handles. Enjoy the new look of your furniture!
