Transforming the look and feel of a wardrobe might seem like a daunting task, but installing long wardrobe door handles is a relatively simple home improvement project that can yield both functional and aesthetic benefits. This comprehensive guide will delve into the intricacies of installing long wardrobe door handles like a seasoned professional, empowering you with the knowledge and confidence to elevate your wardrobe’s style and functionality.
Before diving into the installation process, accurate measurements are crucial. Determine the optimal height and spacing for the handles, ensuring they align with other fittings in the room and provide comfortable access. Mark the drilling points precisely with a pencil, using a level to ensure precise alignment.
Using a power drill fitted with an appropriate drill bit, carefully drill the holes for the handles. Align the drill bit with the marked points and drill straight into the door frame. The depth of the holes should be just deep enough to accommodate the screws that will hold the handles in place.
Apply a small amount of wood glue to the threads of the screws and carefully insert them into the drilled holes. Tighten the screws firmly using a screwdriver, but avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the door frame or the handles. Align the handles evenly and ensure they are securely fastened.
If the handles are not perfectly aligned or the distance between them needs to be adjusted, use an Allen key to loosen the set screws located on the underside of the handles. Slide the handles to the desired position and re-tighten the set screws to secure them.

Wipe down the door handles with a damp cloth to remove any smudges or fingerprints.
