Concealed profile handles
Screwdriver
Drill with Forstner bit (handle matches diameter)
Tape measure or ruler
Pencil
Optical center finder (optional)
Step-by-step guide:
1. Determine the location of the handle:
Use a tape measure and pencil to mark the center of the door or drawer where you want the handle to be. If you are using an optical center finder, simply align it with the edges and mark the center point.
2. Drill the hole:
Using the Forstner bit, drill a hole at the marked center point. The depth of the hole should match the depth of the handle recess.
3. Insert the handle:
Fit the concealed contoured handle into the drilled hole. Make sure it is facing the correct direction and that the screws line up with the pre-drilled holes in the handle.
4. Attach the handle:
Using the screwdriver, insert the screws into the pre-drilled holes and tighten them until the handle is secure. Do not overtighten the screws.
5. Adjust the height:
Some hidden contoured handles allow you to adjust the height. If your handles have this feature, simply use a screwdriver to adjust the height until it is level with the surrounding cabinets.
